Awarded as Top Company in the Treasure Valley

Since our humble beginnings in 2012, PortaPros has continually placed our business focus on culture and people. This past year, guided by Jane Nailon (See Jane Brand) our entire team played a part in defining the culture of the company and our defining values of ownership, togetherness, gratitude, growth mindset, and of course, do the right thing. We simply believe in doing it better by doing it different. To that end, PortaPros is very proud to announce our recognition as one of the Top Companies in Treasure Valley.

This inaugural awards program was created in 2022, a project of the Idaho Business Review and Best Companies Group. The regional survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places to work in the Treasure Valley, here in Idaho. The award recognizes PortaPros as a benefit to the region's economy, its workforce, and businesses. The 2022 Top Companies in Treasure Valley list is made up of 14 companies and we are thrilled to be included!

To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

• A minimum of 15 employees working in Treasure Valley (Ada and Canyon Counties).
• A for-profit or not-for-profit business or government entity.
• A publicly or privately held company.
• A facility in the Treasure Valley region of Idaho.
• Established in business for a minimum of 1 year.

Competing with companies from across the region, we entered the two-part process to determine the Top Companies in Treasure Valley Award. The division was as follows:

• Evaluation of our workplace policies, practices, and demographics. This portion was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation.
• Employee survey to measure our employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation.

The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings. We are especially proud of our employee survey results. Our staff makes us who we are and nurturing a strong positive culture is one of our top priorities.

Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Treasure Valley and analyzed the data using their expertise to determine the final rankings.

PortaPros will be recognized in a special publication and at an awards program where the rankings will be revealed, by company size along with profiles of each winning company.

Although our recent acknowledgment from the Idaho Business Review was for “Idaho” we accepted the award as an entire company, including our Ontario location. This award means a lot to our management team who strives so hard to create a culture where folks can have a home and thrive having fun in an industry that the outside world might think is an impossible task. We have proven that it is not only possible but an easy accomplishment when the teams are as united in the same mission as we are.

In June 2012 PortaPros started with seven employees and a vision to do it better by doing it different. From the start and through today the focus is on people. Today we are close to fifty strong with locations operating out of Nampa, Idaho, and Ontario, Oregon. This year marks our tenth anniversary with growth and accomplishment powering us forward toward another ten.

Every year our most important company goals are clearly focused on the people in our business who do the most important work—those servicing, delivering, and picking up our products, and those interfacing with our customers every day.

Two of our clear goals are that our annual turnover is less than 20% in an industry that averages triple that and that our quarterly Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) averages 80 or higher. In terms of eNPS, it is suggested that a rating of 10-30 is commonly referenced as good, while a score that exceeds 50 would put the company in the upper echelon of companies. We think that is a pretty high bar and are diligent in staying at or above it.

We are grateful for the acknowledgment but even more thankful for a team that makes it all happen. We will continue to strive to be the best in the treasure valley, in Eastern Oregon, and beyond.
